finished in 2 weeks, took longer due to travel (and a 16 month old, hehe)
sweet love story. ended the way i figured it would, so i didn't get sad.
John joined the army after having a rough relationship with his dad, and not having any real direction in life.
while on leave one summer, he met Savannah and they fell in love. They promised to make it work while he was away finishing up his contract. All was well until 9/11 happened and he resigned his contract for the army for a couple of more years.
Savannah did help John mend his relationship with his father and become friends. This was the best gift he could ever ask for.
Sweet, sad, but good. Keep in mind when reading... this is a Nicholas Sparks book.
